work; errands; news things

Work sucked. My schedule sucks. My job sucks. Can I get a new one like now, please? *headdesk* Closing tonight sucked. The woman I was helping is very, very sweet -- she gave me a birthday card with two lottery tickets! so nice of her -- but she takes for-fracking-ever to close. I didn't get out until 6:30pm.

Rushed to the eye place and got my new glasses. Yay! I can see! Had stopped and gotten 7 gallons of gas which cost me $27 ($3.49/G). WTF? After the eye place, I went and got dog food and then stopped in Target. Got a new military-style twill jacket for $22 and a bunch of candy. Yummy.

Came home. Had dinner. Ended up watching a few episodes of SG1 and then stumbled into my room to work on stuff. Of course, I totally didn't and now it's past midnight. Oy.

spubba's chibi auctions to benefit Katrina victims are back up!

Have we all heard about this yet? Elijah Wood will be playing Iggy Pop! Eeeehehehehe!

Also, SciFi is bringing back the full open sequences for SG1 and Atlantis. They had cut them to make room for commercials. Does this mean we're going to have less commercial time or less episode time? If it's the latter, I'd almost rather have shorter credits.

Both of us have been through a lot this year and I know the next can only be better! Right? Right. We're both destined for bigger and better things than our sucky retail jobs and depressing life issues -- so hear's hoping that better things roll around this coming year. 24 doesn't feel any older than 23, though I do feel like I should have accomplished more than I have. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes ^^

Mom wants me to pick somewhere to go. I don't really want to go anywhere, but she wants me to get out of the house and go do soemthing. Blah. Maybe I'll have her take me shopping for a new desk.

desk shopping; work; jackhole;

This morning I went with mom to look for a new desk. Found one that I kind of like. Didn't buy it yet - going to look for other things. However, while we were at this big discount furniture/junk store, I found $1 DVDs! Really old shows on DVD. I got two Flash Gordon discs, and some old series that I can't remember the name of right now. Uhm. Yeah, but it was find!

Then we went looking at a few more places, but no one has a desk I like, so we ended up coming home. Mom made me a grilled cheese for lunch. The boss had called while we were out and appraently, I'm working tomorrow, but not Monday (unless there is an emergency) and then will probably have Wednesday and Thursday off - even though she marked me off for Thursday and Friday. OMG make up your mind, woman.

My father called. To wish me a happy birthday. Asked me if I knew what was wrong with me yet. He asked where my brother was. Uhm. He went to school last week, genius. Then he said, "I bought something; it will be there in a couple days," to which I didn't know how to respond, because he buys crap all the time and has it sent home, so... okay? And then I think he said, "for you." Oh. Uhm. Okay? I'm sort of scared. I don't really want anything he has to give me but at the same time I can't be so vulgar as to throw it back at him, but maybe I should.

I was tired so I just went to lay down for a bit with the intention of having a rest for oh... half an hour or so. Next thing I know, it's 7:30pm and I've blown my entire day. Oy. *looks at clock* And now it's 8:30pm. I don't even have the energy to get up and go out to dinner. Think we're just going to order delivery something.

Meh. I feel all achey and crappy and blah. And my shoulder hurts. I really need a new dsk. I think I might be developing carpal tunnel again.
