Tired. Took a nap and just woke up to the stench of.. something in the kitchen. My father decided to make rice noodles and throw every dried ingredient we had in the closet into the pot. Normally, this would be okay, since it's dried shrimp, kelp, muscles, and a few other good things. Except he didn't soak them before he put them. Have you ever swallowed sea water? Yeah.

Also discovered my internet connection flipped out. I really hate this USB adapter sometimes. *puts it across room* Restarted the machine three times. I left it alone and went to eat before I got all pissed off and threw the thing out the window. Came back a bit later and it sort of started working again. ::glares::

Deadbeat eBay sellers. I hateses them. I filed a Buyer complaint with Paypal, and got a very quick response. Seller claims that the item was shipped (date unknown) and provided a tracking number (tracking company unknown). If I don't cancel the complaint in 5 days, Paypal will investigate further. I'm not cancelling the complaint for another 4 days. If the item is not here by then, then the guy/girl never sent it at all and is just messing around.

Haven't gone through my friends page yet... should do that. And the nip/tuck review needs to be typed. Argh. Will do that now and go back to bed -_-;; Jury duty tomorrow. Blech.

nip/tuck review: pilot episode

I recieved a nip/tuck screener in the mail last week and never got a chance to type up this review. So, here it is. At least I got it up before it actually aired.

90 minute pilot airs Tuesday, July 22 at 10pm EST on FX

Executive Producers: Ryan Murphy, Michael M. Robin, Greer Shephard (all three produced the 1999 WB series, Popular)

Cast: Julian McMahon (Profiler, Charmed), Dylan Walsh ("We Were Soldiers," Everwood), John Hensley (Witchblade), Roma Mafia (Chicago Hope, Profiler, "Holes"), Joely Richardson ("The Patriot")

Guest Cast: I believe Ara Celi (Amapata in the Buffy episode, "Inca Mummy girl") appears, but I can't confirm

Right off the bat, I can tell you this is a dark, twisted drama series. Also, the screener I have is probably a different cut than is going to make it to air, judging by the commericals I've seen in the last couple of days. I'm glad to see Julian McMahon and Roma Mafia back together and it's always great to see John Hensley.

The series is set in Florida, with bright and vivid daytime scenes and seedy, dark night scenes. The two main characters, Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) and Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) have their own plastic surgery office. Christian is the unscrupulous, but sexy, sloppy surgeon to Dylan's play-by-rules morality. Obviously, this causes some problems.

Right. Officially jealous of all those who are there. Because.. Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, and Dom! ^_^ And Nathan Fillion crashed Joss' panel! ;_;

Blah. Had I known.. I still would have been too poor to go. Next year perhaps...
