New Age ResHall, anyone?
Nov. 1st, 2001 01:22 amDude, our residence hall is so cool. 6 of the RAs, the RD, and myself and another resident just hung out in the cage and the RD office the whole night. :) Um.. what did we do...
Watched people as they ran around and got ready for the Halloween festivities at the bars. Boys dressed like girls, girls dressed as thugs. Casey was dressed as a dead prom queen with blood and gashes and a huge knife sticking out of her chest. Very cool. Meghan was "Super Dyke" ROFLMAO It was hilarious. I have pictures *g*
Kara, the RD, is sick, so I've been giving her some holistic treaments: massage oils and an herbal drink. Um.. she probably won't drink it, but I tried.
Oh, a whole suite got busted tonight. UPD was running some sort of sting. hahaha One came in the building and knocked on the door while the other stood outside their window to see what their reaction was. Apparently, there was a whole lot of beer (this being a dry campus, that is bad), some pot paraphernalia, and a dagger. Weapons are definitely a no-no in the building. In the words of an RA, "He's going dooooown!" and the RD, "Buh-bye." Heh. And yes, these are boys who have been causing.. issues.. on premises.
Then we watched the drunk people come back in. "Super Dyke" came back totally trashed. It was funny. C2 wasn't drinking.. I don't think, but I got to see his costume. He dressed up as Obi Wan :) Casey came back and had to bail some guy out of jail because of a noise violation. Oh yeah, watched the Yankees win the second game of the World Series while I gave Stacey and Q Reiki treatments.
Coolest thing was that Jen was giving tarot reading in Kara's office. They are amazingly accurate. Nailed Claire, Kara, Paul (who is a total skeptic), Q, and Joanne completely. Joanne's was "WOW" accurate. LOL The girl is good and she only reads with the Major Arcana I noticed. My reading was short. Which is good, I guess. Means I have few issues. *g* Riiight.
One of the things she said was that I was struggling with two classes. Pre-Calc for sure.. the second may be Earth Science. Not sure. Also, she sees me becoming more social either next semester or before December, and possibly while I am at home during Christmas break. I find that time period a bit unlikely since there isn't anyone at home I hang out with anymore, especially with Arline getting ready to go to Ireland next semester. What else.... Oh, something about a long paper that I'm going to have to write. 5 pages or more? Hmmm... Then she said she saw me having more work, or trying to balance more things in the near future. Great. Just what I need T_T
The most interesting thing that she said first, and went back to later, had to do with the Fool card. Smack in the center of the spread. She asked me if I was in a relationship. Not anymore. Was I dreaming more lately or remembering more of my dreams? Not more than usual, I said. Was I dreaming about the guy I liked? Ha, no. And it was confusing her because she kept seeing infatuation with someone. That there was someone I am always thinking about in class in a romantic way. I shook my head. She kind of let that drop while she went on with the reading. When she came back to it and explained it again, I told her there was someone that I had liked, but not anymore. She asked me if this person was still trying to communicate with me. Maybe. It was like a lightbulb went on in her head. She told me she had it backwards and the guy was the one who was still infatuated with me, that he is still hoping there's some way that we "will be." And that be all she read.
Jen promised that she'd give me another reading next week. She can only read for a person once a week, apparently. Kinda makes sense. Energy being different and all that. Anyway, she won't take money, so I've offered to trade Reiki for tarot, which she seemed pretty amicable about after I gave her a back treatment. Score! I got my own tarot card reader *eg*
