When will it end?!
Aug. 20th, 2001 09:49 pmI moved back to college yesterday and finally rearranged the room and setup my computer. This place is stank!! Lots of stuff is broken and there's like dust and dirt all over. I wiped off the matresses with a Clorox wipe and the thing came up brown!! Ewww!!! I got the ghetto quad, man.
Add this to the ick factor:
Me: EEWWWWW!!!!
Me: this bug just crawled across the floor!!!
Sez: Ew! Ew!!
Sez: Squish it!
Me: I did!! Ick!
Sez: ewwwww..... that's just gunky
Me: I know!
Sez: what was it? a cocky?
Sez: I mean, a cockroach?
Me: I dunno!!
Sez: just something with too many legs and icky, huh? ;-)
Me: It scurried really fast and then I squished it
Sez: lightning fast reflexes *g*
Me: Yah, must be
That was soooo disgusting. I really need to get a vacuum in here. You know, I really hope the new roommate doesn't hate the room setup. I have this one wall and she has like a corner and the beds are bunked. It sucks a load, but hey, I'm here a week early. Anyway, if she really hates it, I'd be willing to move stuff around. I'm just really, really sick of the same old room setup. But, I know it might be unfair. Hey, I'd be more than willing to switch to the squishy side if it meant we could kep this setup :-P
Anyway, I've been at training, which is boring as hell. I know a lot of the stuff already, so I'm waiting for them to get to the stuff I don't know, which should be coming up in the next day or two.
I kind of like coming back early though. There's not a rush to get things done and having to worry about class starting in a couple days. Plus, going to training I get to hang with people like Chris M. and Mike (even though I already met them last year). Oh, and I got to listen to a really nice Aussie accent for 5 minutes when Lachlan fixed my keycard. I love guys with accents. *sigh*
All summer, I've only talked to Sez, Miche, Jen, and Nacey - maybe two or three at the sametime. But I get my computer hooked up to the network and five people IM me, two of which I haven't talked to in over three months. Weird, dude.
Suppose I should get back to cleaning.... nah, maybe later.
