Well, tomorrow's the 4th of July. The wonderful celebration of American freedom from England. ::rolls eyes:: Couldn't you feel the sarcasm dripping off that one? It's not that I'm not grateful for our er.. independence, per se.. just that I don't really care for a holiday that no longer means anything besides a day off from work and parties.
Anyhow.. some of the lovely ladies I work with took me to lunch at the Ocean Palace, a very yummy Chinese place that I go to all the time, so they expected me to order for them. Well, let me tell you, that was a feat. I speak Mandarin about as well as the Cantonese waitress. What fun that was. They were surprised at how good the food was -- it actually tasted like stuff. Silly Americans and their Chinese take-out places. ::shakes head:: I hope this trip broke them of that nasty habit.
Oh, since I didn't send her a present, I'd better say this again: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NACEY!
I figure if I say it enough, it'll make up for the lack of gift. *g* Luv ya, chica!
I've been trying Tellina's TK tips. (Did I ever thank you for those, Tellie? Thanks!! You're a doll *g*) Concentrating is really hard, but I'm determined to get the hang of it. Maybe I can get that pen to at least wiggle by the end of the summer. *sigh*
Two more days left of the job from hell. Though.. it's not quite as bad now that I work in the other office. I bust my ass all day, but at least I'm not surrounded by freaks and whores. ((Or do I mean a freak and awhore? Hmmm...)) I feel really bad about leaving my buddy Michele over there and was hoping to maneuver her over to the office I'm currently in -- that way, she'd at least get her own desk and computer -- but dammit all, Kathleen snagged the new girl, Nayasha.
This entry is no longer making sense, so I'm going to read some WR fic and get my arse to bed. Um.. g'night.
