I really enjoyed tonight's concert. You know why? 'Cause it was 3 hours long, at the General Clinton Pub, and I stayed for the whole thing! Even talked to Rudy and Joe at the end of the night.

::growl:: Speaking of Rudy. I was supposed to be doing the website for the band. Except someone else in the band had already paid someone to do it. Two words: Communication issues. I'm not really pissed about it; means less work for me anyway. I hope the guy's worth the money.

The night started off slow -- not many people had shown up yet -- and the band played a bunch of songs less than enthusiastically. This set contained great covers of "Disarm," "Jeremy," and "Killing in the Name Of."

::insert numerous technical difficulties::

The second set was cool. More Pumpkins ("Cherub Rock"), some Foo Fighters ("Everlong"), and a very cool rock version of "Big Pimpin'." Um.. Rudy kept kicking over his pitcher of water. And some idiot kept filling it. Whatever.

Set three was long. Very long. But they played a lot of their original songs, including "Glorified Mess," "Retribution," and the new song "Space Monkey." ::insert more mic problems and spilled water::

There were some crazy quotes, too. Rudy kept shouting "Tip the bartender!" and at one point said "Whoa, that's like, crickets and shit," when he asked if people liked this one particular song.

The most, um.. amusing? "Join the So'Hum mailing list, created by Cynthia, the girl with the gloves." Great. Now I'm known as the girl with the gloves.

I'm too knackered to remember the rest. I'm going to bed.

Unity Day

2:00pm - in front of Milne Library
"Welcome to the First Annual Unity Day!"

Whoop-dee-do. I went for one reason -- to see So'Hum play. Too bad they didn't show up. Rudy's been sick, so I guess that's an excuse.

Friends In Need Of played first, in So'Hum's spot. They're good. Loved the cover of "Take Me Home Tonight." I like them ^_^ In fact, I'm going to be talking to Joe & Gino on Tuesday about doing a website and maybe some graphic design work for them. I might even be getting paid. Heh.

The Brothers Late played next, and they really weren't my style of music, but they were good. Gas, Food, and Lodging were awesome!! I want a CD, now, dammit!! They sound like Dave Matthews kind of. Mellow sounds. Slinky Trip was pretty cool, too. Frell, there were just too many bands for me to remember!

I totally intended to leave around 5:00pm, but then I saw Chris (an RA in my building), Jesse, Michael, and Chad just chilling on the library steps. So I sat down. Chatted a bit. Saw Daisuke (who was going to study! o_O); he was totally in awe. I think he said "Holy shit," but I'm not sure. Gerard (STU guitarist) showed up, so dammit, no going home for me.

Well, I got a $2 discount on the STU CD anyway. I figure maybe it'll be worth something when they're famous. ::crickets:: Maybe not. What totally sucked about the whole thing was that STU was supposed to play at 7:00pm, but got pushed back.. and back.. and farther still. Finally, they decided to setup their equipment at the other end of the plaza so they could play as soon as Dirty Sanchez finished. A lot of people were gone by then. There was maybe a total of 20 people standing in the freezing dark of Oneonta night. But it was worth it; with SKA renditions of "99 Red Balloons" and "I Touch Myself" how could it not be? I bailed as soon as their set was done.

I still haven't worked on any of my three papers that are due Tuesday. My inbox is about to explode - there are over 80 unread fics. -_-** Wish me luck!!

...was almost forgotten because I'm cracked out.

White guys can't rap. It's a fact. (Eminem is possibly a freak occurance, but that covers a lot of things about him.) It was proven today when Cast Love ::rolls eyes:: did his set. Can someone please shut that guy up? Cheese dick. Give the reggae guys more time, please.
