Quantum Mechanix has set up Firefly Ship Works so fans can watch the progress of the large scale Serenity replica. The replica will be 1/180 scale (about 18").

Joss Whedon staged a career intervention for Eliza Dushku? Joss, I love you, really. Helping along Eliza's career is totally awesome, but to ignore all of SMG's bad, bad, bad (did I mention bad?) films. She cannot redeem herself with Southland Tales! And okay, maybe Wrong Turn wasn't the greatest choice for Eliza, but Soul Survivor was actually pretty good, I thought. Meh.

I'm sure by now, most of you have heard about JJ Abrams' new show, Fringe. I kinda don't know what to think because as much as I love JJ, it sounds a bit like The X-Files meets Special Unit 2. Meh.

Erin McBlog posted some redesigned covers of classic books as part of her thesis. Very cool. I especially love the cover for The Giver and The Handmaid's Tale.

Late again to the party, but I'm playing catch up! Spaced will finally have a Region 1 DVD release on July 22! It's said to be filled with new commentaries and things, so I will of course be buying a copy of this one as well!

Meh. I have things to do and I don't wanna do 'em.

One. I gotta say, the Dollhouse reminds me too much of Dark Angel mixed with a more dramatic turn of that David Spade movie where he forgets things daily. I hate saying it, but as much as I love Eliza, I don't know if I can handle the show.

Two. If I had the money, I'd pick up those tarot cards. I want to start using some. Mom's got enough books around the house for it.

Heh. That's funny because I always felt like Dark Angel was a wanna-be Buffy with Max as a pseudo!Faith. This is probably why I'm okay with Dollhouse.

Yeah, but it's the erased past that really made me think of Dark Angel. The whole thing that Alec did, that year long integration or whatever. The erasing thing is very similar, except for them not being military.

Hm. I guess. I think I just like the (supposed) twist that it's not just their memories and their past that gets wiped away, it's everything. All aspects of their personality get striped and reuploaded to suit the mission or job. Of course, I'm sure this show is going to be about how that doesn't exactly work.

Whatever, though. Joss on my TV again!

I was reading through all the new shows for the Fall and it looks like they are just taking old shows and giving them a new name.

The show "The Mentalist" is totally like "Psych" for adults, which I think will make it boring, because Psych is charming because of it's antics.

And there was that other show, some dude using his mind reading powers to solve crimes, totally made me thing of "Thought Crimes."

This seasons new shows all look crappy. I think there are way too many cop dramas. Blah.

Yeah, I don't even care about new shows anymore unless there is an actor in there I like. And since there are two in Dollhouse I'm all over that.

I just want the shows I liked to come back...
