site stuff; sony

Globat is offering free web hosting again. Actually, it's $7.95/month, but there is a rebate coupon for one free year. Basic account is 10GB space with 300GB bandwidth/month. PHP, Perl, cgi-bin, ssi, and all that good stuff. If you do order and account with them, it would be cool if you'd enter eternalvox.net as the referral ^^*

Tominationmedia.net is having server problems. I thought maybe they finally realized I was serving files (even though they're not really illegal) before I contacted support and they said they were having a problem with the server. Now that I think about it, it's possible that they had sent me an e-mail about planned upgrades or something. *shurg* Hey, as long as my account isn't being suspended, it's all good.

Edit: It's back now. Yay!

Sony stops making anti-piracy CDs - Sony has said it will suspend the production of music CDs with anti-piracy technology which can leave computers vulnerable to viruses. The move came after security firms said hackers were exploiting the software to hide their creations.

Stupid Sony. :-P

Yay! You'll like them. Their service is really good and I've very rarely had downtime and even then it didn't last longer than an hour :)
