So... I was watching "The Faculty" the other day. And it got me thinking how the movie would be different if it was John & Rodney instead of Zeke & Casey. John & Zeke both do that "I'm a genius, but I'm going to pretend I'm dumb" thing, but Zeke is the quiet AV geek while Rodney would be the obnoxious science geek.

Which would work, because while John is trying to save the world from fucking aliens (or "fuzzy aliens" if you see the cable version) with his powdered caffeine hack drug stash, Rodney would be there to help and provide snark instead of being the quiet one. There would be the option to keep Stan, Stokely and Delilah, but I think you could swap Stan for Ford, Stokes for Teyla, and Liz for Delilah.

Originally, I was thinking high school AU, but this would probably work if you assumed the alien somehow escaped Earth and made it to the Pegasus galaxy. Atlantis is set on a planet that's a big ol' ocean. If I could write fic, I would... Uhm.. anyone? cassiejamie? *g* Feel free to pass on this if it does nothing for you. It's just a silly thought.

And of course thinking about "The Faulty" makes me think about Vshendria's "Borderlines" which has a shiny new layout. Ooo... and a new chapter I haven't read. I do love me some Zeke/Casey.
