moss terrariums: round two
While out and about today, I found myself looking for more terrarium containers. Ugh, I know. It's a disease! At Joann's I found plastic flower beads, Christmas Tree Shop had a cheap apothecary jar ($5!) and a set of 3 small hinge lid jars for $5. Also went back to Target and bout the rest of their salt shakers. So before meeting up with
smashedrecords, I put them together!
Photos in the flickr gallery, or see some under the cut.
Today's batch of containers:

New batch of salt & pepper shakers. I left empty areas in two of them to see how well they fill in.

I don't have pictures of the jar after I added the crystal points, but it looks pretty good:

Largest of the hinge lid jars from the set. I don't know what I'm going to put inside... a figure perhaps? Or maybe I'll try my hand at those clay mushrooms.

I LOVE the landscaping on this one with the hills and such. I want to make a little Stargate to go in it. Like, just part of the ring, not the whole thing.

Smallest of the hinge lid jars. I added the plastic flower beads (used jewelry glue to attach them to a head pin) and then my mother added the jade rabbit and stones. It's going to be a gift:

I added flowers and a crystal point to one of the sugar bowls I made yesterday:

And sealed the holes in the shakes with hot glue:

I really hope I'm over the making terrarium phase. Now I need to work on the keeping them alive part.

Everything I've read says once proper humidity/moisture is reached, you only need to spray some water every 2-3 weeks to keep it that way.
I'm curious to see if I can keep them alive, too!
