Right, so. Ignoring the poor LJ and not even paying attention to the copious amounts of drama surrounding the staff firings in the company because if I ignore it, nothing bad will happen, right? D:

Unfortunately, I can't ignore this -- Not only is ABC canceling Pushing Daisies, but now it looks like we're not even going to see the final episodes! Which is extra annoying because Bryan Fuller went back and reworked the finale to ties up some of the plots! ARGH! There are two articles I just read and both are basically saying the same thing:

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports that a new episode of Pushing Daisies was indeed supposed to air tonight, but that ABC "pulled it at the last minute." Instead, they're repeating the two episodes of Scrubs that ran ... last night.

Creator and producer Bryan Fuller (now back on Heroes) says the remaining episodes "are not on the schedule right now ... and that's all we know."

Oh man. SO ANNOYED!

Got up at a fairly decent hour today and decided to take a trip to Target. Been having a craving for milk & cereal. So, quick shower and off I went.. after a one hour detour at the computer...

Right, so, stop at the bank for some money, then Target! It's been so long since I've been in there. Weeks, I think! Hit the sale racks first and snagged a black skirt of $6. Grabbed a box of frosted flakes and raisin bran (their store equivalents, actually) and debated over the kind of milk to get. Went with 1%. Then I did something bad... I headed for the DVD area.

SO MANY THINGS TO BUY! Seriously, I picked up a ton of stuff, stared at the price tags, and then put them down. It was awful! I almost wanted Veronica Mars season 3 -- not because I liked the show; haven't even seen it yet -- but because it was $18. And then there were movies... and other shows! Ack! I ended up getting Pushing Daisies season 1 because, erm.. it was a Target exclusive and had recipes inside? Yeah, seriously, not like I'll ever use them (like my special edition Waitress with recipes), but, oh, just to have them! And the packaging is cute -- the case looks like a diner menu and the discs inside have pies on the labels.

Of course, I get home and find a big, giant EW! The garbage people didn't totally empty out my trash so they left a bunch of packing foam and dead squirrels. So the can reeks. I decided that if they're going to sit there another week, they're def going to need to be double bagged, so I got [livejournal.com profile] seijitataki to help me. OMG GROSS.

Picked up quite a few new DVDs in the last couple days... Hollywood video is have a previewed DVD sale, so after work I stopped in and got Night Watch, American Dreamz, Mozart and the Whale, and The Chumscrubber. Yeah. Odd mix. Anyway...

PUSHING DAISIES. Just watched the pilot. Bryan Fuller? You are made of win. It's just unfortunate that you have deal with Fox because I have a feeling this brilliant show is going to get canceled. Nevermind -- it's going to be airing on ABC... might have a chance afterall. Lee Pace (last seen in Fuller's Wonderfalls) plays the lead. It's got the same bizarre dark humor as Dead Like Me with a really interesting visual style that's somewhere between that and... I dunno.. maybe Wonderfalls, but something else I can't place now. Anyway. It's really interesting and I hope they keep the element of the narrator. I can't wait for this to join the prime time line-up.

In other things OMFGAGGRO!! I have had a really crap evening. After dinner I had to go setup a wireless router for someone, which in and of itself was totally fine except for the part where there was cat hair everywhere. I don't mine like, "oh she has three cats, yeah cat hair." I mean like the side of her tower was coated in a cat hair mat. *CHOKES* But the time I left my skin was crawling, my eyes were burning and I'm pretty close to losing my voice again. Hurray?! To top it off, I get home and I still have to wash dishes and pots with crusted on sauces and then I got to use my computer and the internet connection is being abysmally slow, so I think I'm just going to switch over to Talyn for a while. GLARGH. (Thankfully, I just got a nice phone call from someone so I can bitch and complain to them and now I feel much better.)
