California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed he will veto a bill endorsing gay marriages.

Gay marriage doesn't hurt anyone -- it's not contagious! It will not end the world. God's wrath will not rain down on you. Get over it.

In March this year a judge ruled that Californian state law had breached a constitutional right to equal treatment of all citizens, irrespective of sexuality. The issue is now expected to go back to the Supreme Court.

Oh yeah, 'cause that will go well, considering who will be doing the judging.

Meh. Going to bed.

I KNEW that the Republican would show through. Everyone said "He's justa Republican in name only, that's why I'm voting for him." And all I could say was "He's so Republican, its scary. You'll be sorry."

Wow. Called that one, didn't I?

See, I don't know how anyone thought he wasn't a raging Republican.

*sigh*

Because he played the "I married a Kennedy" card very well during his campaigning.

UGH. Although? Because of who he is and his attending premieres still, I finally met a Kennedy. *g*

g'damn, of course schwarzenegger would uphold proposition 22 passed back in 2000.

so much for the "making history" as noted by umberg.

I knew that he would veto it. This is a topic that he has constantly said should be decided by what the courts think about the constitutionality of Prop 22 and he's just not going to change now. Plus the main part of whatever his remaining popularity base in the state would fry him alive if he tried to pass this through and into law.

Yeah, I knew he would too, but it's still frustrating and annoying. I hate politicians.
