amezri: (teen wolf ;; stiles ;; runs with wolves)

Hey, look at me with a real entry before the end of 2013! (I don't even know if there are any of you left on here even reading my livejournal.) I've been mostly living on Tumblr and even though I keep meaning to come back, I just never do. BUT! Here I am, with a little fanmix for the Teen Wolf fandom.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] arysani, [livejournal.com profile] spaggel, and [livejournal.com profile] athenaktt for feedback on the mix and the cover.

This mix was originally intended to be a general mix of wolfy songs to go running to, but I ended up picking songs for individual pack members.

Runs With Wolves: A Teen Wolf Fanmix

A song for the wolves.

03. The Heavy - How You Like Me Now

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] arysani for feedback and guidance on the mix. I'm sure I was endlessly annoying with all the lyrics I was spamming her with.

This mix, is of course, based on Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. I started work a couple weeks ago and was able to finish it once I read Breaking Dawn. I tried to pick a few songs for each book representing events that I could remember... or ones I could find songs for. Whichever.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] auburnnothenna for feedback and guidance on the mix.

This mix is, of course, inspired by [livejournal.com profile] auburnnothenna's In the City of Seven Walls. It has a different sort of tone from the first one I did, which became more somber as the songs progressed. Well, all right, there are a few somber ones in this one as well, but I was hoping to balance it out with more lively tracks and more songs with English lyrics.

Thanks to both [livejournal.com profile] auburnnothenna and [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster for feedback on the mix.

This mix is inspired by [livejournal.com profile] auburnnothenna's fantastic story, In the City of Seven Walls, the latest update of which is detailed here. She graciously reviewed the mix and helped guide me in the selection of the final songs.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster for her help! I wouldn't have gotten the final mix done if it weren't for her.

Three Fates, a story by [livejournal.com profile] auburnnothenna and [livejournal.com profile] eretria, has eaten my brain and this is the mix I was compelled to make. It spans the whole story and hopefully conveys the emotions and mood therein.

Spoilers for the story below, obviously.

Season 2 Ford, from "The Siege 3" through "The Hive." More or less. I wanted something edgy and angry and a little bit creepy. Two out of three maybe?

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cassiejamie and [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster for the feedback. Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] spaggel, who agreed to doodle me something for the cover. It's perfect.

I'm fairly certain I could have cut this down in size, but was reminded that a standard CD could hold 80min, so why trim it? This mix comes in at a tad over 73 minutes.

Could be pre-slash. John has a secret mix CD he listens to when he thinks Rodney is locked up in his lab with a project. Wouldn't McKay be surprised if he were to barge in to John's quarters one night to ask him some random thing.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cassiejamie and [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster for the feedback. [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster also named the mix for me, so thanks again.

This is a Post-Trinity mix, so I guess... erm... spoilers? The songs progress from anger to sadness and regret from both John and Rodney's POV. Most of this is set around the events post-Trinity as written in [livejournal.com profile] tiranog's fic, "Resilience."

Oh, come on now, slashers, don't look at me like that. It's a peace offering for the Sheppard/Weir 'shippers. I may rag on the het pairings, but it's all in good fun. Hopefully what I have here is a nice, mature mix for the pairing. Those who 'ship them can tell me if I've done it any justice.

I was encouraged by [livejournal.com profile] cassiejamie and [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster, so... go blame them :-P

Firstly, I want to thank [livejournal.com profile] cassiejamie for all her help and input and feedback with this mix.

If you're linking, please link to this entry, not the files.

I admit that this mix is born of crack, yo. Originally, it was going to be a mix of songs Rodney would never admit that he liked. Then it became a mix of generally geeky songs that the science team would probably groove to at a geek party. Finally, it's become a mix of songs that McKay for one reason or another burned to a disc and listens to in the wee hours of the night when no one else is around the lab....

This is not Dr. Rodney McKay's CD. Zelenka just happened to find it buried under a mountain of papers on Rodney's desk when he was looking for schematics on some piece of Ancient tech. The fact that sometimes passersby can hear the chorus of "Teenage Dirtbag" through the closed lab doors when McKay is in there alone is not proof that the CD is his.

Because it's not. Really.

Right. You know, not doing anything else. Finished my Sheppard mix CD and got the cover done. Enjoy! Please comment if you snag so I can watch the bandwidth. Feel free to link people to this entry, but not the files directly.

cover )

I had planned to make a really dark, aggressive Sheppard mix for those times when he's all gungho on a mission and ready to kickass and take names. But it didn't really turn out that way. So what I have now is a mix that takes you through three phases of Sheppard: the enthusiatic guy who goes on adventures, the guy who gets pissed off when you mess with his team, and the scarily quiet guy who will frell you up when you push him to far. Hopefully it flows all right.

EDIT: As of 12:49pm EST, I can confirm that the zip file uploaded to the eternalvox server is valid and working. Sorry about all the trouble! That'll teach me to get overly excited about something and posting before checking to make sure it works.

EDIT: Hotdang this mix is popular. Or something. Bandwidth on eternalvox has hit a max for today (but it's not really the max... erm..) so try the megaupload mirror. I'm also going to get another mirror up on a different server for those of you who can't get megaupload to work.

Edit: Taking down the individual files as they are a pain in the ema. Put a copy of the zip up at Tominationmedia.net so I can give the bandwidth on that account a bit of a workout. Have at it!

Edit: Have had to take the files down from both of my servers, but the megaupload link is still up. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded and commented so far :)

The comment to download ratio is not computing :-P

I really, really need to work on something other than song mixes and cracked out fic. This is not healthy and it's counter-productive. That said, I'm a nutcase and I've got a new McShep CD, which is heavy on the Rodney POV. It turned into a fic-babble thing. Which is not any good, so don't worry about it. Skim if you'd like and download the music. Because music is always good.

Title: This Our Bitter End
Author: Amezri (amezri @ livejournal dot com)
Rating: PG
Pairing: McKay/Sheppard
Summary: People will know when they see this show the kind of guy I am.
Spoilers: Season 1 through "The Siege Part 2"
Disclaimer: Don't own the boys, don't own the girls. Don't own the lyrics either.
Author's notes: This started as a simple McShep mix CD. Which then became a McShep CD from Rodney's POV... and now it's a weird songfic. I hesitate to even call it a fic because it would be insulting to actual fic writers. I've used lyrics from all the songs, in order, for this insane (and likely unreadable) little babble. Words in grey are what I wrote, black are song lyrics. My first anything-resembling-fic in ages, so feedback and criticisms are greatly desired. Really, I just hope the mix CD is good and I can't be frelled to care much about the fic.

I think these print out... wrong, but I don't know how to fix it, so... *shrug* It might be a bit dark on some monitors.

And here are the tracks, all up individually for download. Right-click + save, please. Feedback is lovely. Comments are cool, too. Do not hotlink. Songs will be up for about a week.

Okay... here it is. I'm not sure I'm completely happy with it all, but I cut it down from two CDs (at one point I was thinking three) to one. Think it works well, but honestly a lot of it is gen and I'm stretching the meaning. Uhm. Oh well.

cover )

And now for the songs. With snippets of lyrics and the twisted logic I used to justify their place on the mix. It's all very obviously influenced by fanon. Obviously.

15 tracks of goodness )

And now I'm sure you're all waiting for the downloads.. because I do have those. Files are zipped and on my server and will be there for about a week or so.

McShep-Mix Part 1 (tracks 1-7; 30.6MB)
McShep-Mix Part 2 (tracks 8-15; 28.3MB)
